Ms. Ruth Monty, Music Director
St. Joseph’s Parish
Ruth Monty has been a professional keyboard player, vocalist, and music educator for over 30 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL., a Masters of Education in Music Education from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA., and is a certified public school Music Teacher in Massachusetts. Currently, she teaches private lessons at Debra Perry’s Vocal Development Studio
in New Bedford.
Since 1985, Ms. Monty has served as a Cantor, Organist, and Organist/Choir Director for several churches and parishes, and most recently served as an Organist/Choir Director at St. Joseph/St. Therese Parish in New Bedford. Previously, she served as an Organist/Choir Director at St. Patrick in Wareham, a Cantor and Organist at St. Margaret/St. Mary in Buzzards Bay, and an Organist/Choir Director at the Congregational Church in Wareham.
